An alternative to the traditional Blackboard experience, “Ultra” offers a simple, modern, intuitive, and consistent interface across devices and a more streamlined experience for instructors and students.
Like what you see? Instructors of non-OTIDE courses may now teach with Ultra. Request a Blackboard Ultra LIVE Course and CIT will help you determine whether Ultra meets your needs.
OTIDE courses are not eligible for the live course pilot unless arranged with OTIDE. OTIDE courses and programs will transition to Ultra based on their revision schedules, program interest, and other factors.
The Center for Instructional Technology and Office of Teaching Innovation and Digital Education have established a goal of having all courses designed and delivered in Blackboard Ultra Course View by Spring 2026.
See Ultra for yourself and find out what you need to do to prepare by attending a Blackboard Ultra demonstration and information Session.
We’d love to share this information at your department or faculty meeting, in-service day, etc.. Contact CIT to request a presentation.
